On Wednesday Jan 5, 2011 I was sitting at my computer at 1:15 in the afternoon. I decided to take a look at the GodTube website, and I saw a face that caught my attention. I clicked on the face of a homeless man, and what I saw and heard brought tears to my eyes. I immediatly prayed for him and then posted a link of that video clip from Godtube to my Rendal G Rutledge Facebook page. If you will take a look at my Facebook page you will see the link that I posted about 15 minutes after I was touched by the words of this homeless man. After I posted this on my facebook account, I went to the Fox News Facebook page and posted it there. Here is what I posted at 1:30 PM just 15 minutes after I saw this video.
Attention All Radio Station Owners. Let's find a good job for this man.
After I made those two posts I thought about that man several times during the afternoon. Seven hours later at about 8:30 PM I settled down to watch a few minutes on Fox News, and suddenly I saw that same video on the Shepherd Smith program. Fox News had followed up on the story and found the homeless man. In only about 7 hours after that post this man was reporting that he was overwhelmed at all the job offers and all the attention he was receiving. I rejoiced as I saw things starting to unfold for this individual. The next day (Thursday Jan 6) I learned that this man was featured on the NBC Today Show, and Fox News had scheduled him for a live interview On Fox And Friends. I told a few people about him, and we talked about it at Church on Thursday night. Since Thursday I have been very busy, and I have not noticed until a few minutes ago what has happened since midweek with this homeless man. A few minutes ago I was taking a look at YouTube and I am simply overwhelmed and astonished at what has happened in less than a week. Now I am not taking the credit for all of this, but I do believe God used me to be part of a miracle. I built this little blogspot site to share my joy as I continue to rejoice in the knowledge that nothing is impossible when people reach out to help people...especially when people pray.
